There is a busy social schedule in Aubane from now until the Christmas period with singing, dancing, cards, parties and even a visit by the great man Santa himself! The full schedule is below:
Dancing – Set dancing continues every Monday night at 9.30pm in Aubane Community Centre. All the best Polka sets and Hornpipes are promised in these lively sessions and all are welcome to come along and join in. Just to note dancing will continue all through the Christmas period weather permitting, so it is an excellent opportunity to burn off a few mince pies!
Cards – Fun Card Play takes place every Thursday night at 8.30pm in Aubane Community Centre. All are welcome from novice to expert to partake and have some fun.
Santa Claus will be visiting Aubane Community Centre on Sunday 12th December between 2 – 4pm. He will be arriving in a fire engine as flying conditions are predicted to be poor, so Rudolf and all the reindeers can rest up for Christmas night. There will be presents galore, bouncing castle, face painting and light refreshments with some sweet treats on the day. All are welcome; admission is €5.00 per child with a maximum charge of €15.00 per family.
Aloe Vera – John F. Kelleher will host an Aloe Vera Christmas gift night in Aubane Community Centre, Thursday 2nd December at 8.00pm
Christmas Party – Aubane Social Club will hold its annual Christmas Party on Tuesday 14th December. Mass is at 8.00pm and will be followed by a cheerful party with refreshments and plenty of craic agus ceol. All are welcome to come along join in with our festive celebrations.
Mountain Climb – On Christmas morning Aubane Social Club and friends will be climbing Mushera Mountain. This annual event is getting bigger and bigger every year. So feel free to come along and participate, proceeds from sponsorship will be donated to Millstreet Day Care Centre. Climbers will meet at St. John’s Well at 10.00am.
Round the Fireside – On Wednesday 29th December at 8.30pm Aubane Social Club will host a ‘round the fireside’ night. This is promised to be an excellent night of song and recitation and we encourage all to come along and enjoy this night of fun at this festive time of year.
