Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this lovely  sunny Tuesday morning.

There is an important notice here from our Garda Siocana to let you know that tomorrow Wednesday June 16th is National Firearms Licencing Awareness Day.

All gun holders are asked to renew their licences on that day. Garda Stations will be open from 10am to 6pm.

Millstreet Development Group have criss-crossed out town with banners telling all and sundry that from  to-day, June 14th to the 19th, every shop and business is giving big discounts, 39 in all, turning Millstreet into a real bargain–town for the next few days. Do come and sample these once-off bargains  and while you are here,  go to see our beauty spots,  Tubrid Well,  the Country Park,  The Green Glens Complex, the picturesque view from our Wind-farms, and lots more.  And have a meal or snack in any one of our varied food outlets.

Sadly the weekly Bingo in Banteer has been canceled for to-night due to a bereavement.

Our weekly Bingo in Millstreet continues on Thursday nights, Jackpot this week €2,300.

Knitting Club at the Adult Learning Centre on our Main St. from 7-9 every Thursday night. And it is not just for knitting alone, but for any craft.

Fr. Paddy O Byrne and Mons. Manning were both ordained on the same day at different places on June 19th ,fifty years ago and to celebrate the occasion they will concelebrate Mass at Tubrid Well this Saturday June 19th at 11am ,please come and celebrate with them.

Macroom Faith ‘n Light Group will hold their annual Mass at Tubrid Well on Saturday July 3rd. at 3pm all welcome.

John McCarthy from Macroom is organising a Knock Shrine Youth Festival to run from June 25th–27th. It will include Prayer, Music, Talks, & Workshops. Its for 18 to 35 yr olds only. €70 for food and accommodation. Bus can be arranged from Macroom and Millstreet. For details contact John at 026-23601 or 086 8818 348.

Coffee Morning in aid of Cope will be held at our GAA Hall this Friday June 18th from 9am-2pm .

The Tidy Towns Weekly Clean-up goes on, they meet to-night at the Square at 7.30, for Drishane Rd. Please come out and help.

Millstreet Gramophone Circle meeting this Friday night at the Canon O Donovan Centre at 8.15, Presenter Nora Burke, Kanturk.

Here are the results of this week’s parish lotto draw which was held at the Clara Inn on Sunday night. Numbers drawn were 2, 9, 19, 22 and the Jackpot was not won. €100 went to Darragh McSweeney, Cloghoulamore, the seller was Mairead Daly and she got €50 sellers prize, €50 went to Sean O Keeffe, Cloghoulabeg, €20 each to DD O Sullivan, Ballydaly, Celia Dinneen  Station Rd.   Eileen Cotter, Old Coach Rd.   Gillian Gilburn, Killarney Rd.   Emma Barrett, c/o Mary O Connor,
