Very Successful “Cork’s Little Heroes” Cycle Event in Millstreet on Saturday Morning

Some 41 energetic cyclists participated in the 100k section of the Cork’s Little Heroes Cycle Event on Sat. 29th April 2017.  Some 150 completed the 50k route back to Ballincollig. Here we meet some of the 41 as they enjoyed refreshments in the Parish Centre beside St. Patrick’s Church. Click on the images to enlarge. (S.R.)
Sacristan Supreme – Julie Brady – extends a “down to earth” welcome to the visiting cyclists! (In fact Julie’s husband Declan was preparing the ground in the Church Grounds for the installation of two permanent flag poles!)
Chaplain Siobhán and Coordinator Gráinne guide the cyclists to the Parish Centre.
Refreshments prepared by Gráinne, Margaret, Noel, Seán and Natasha in the Parish Centre.
Sincere thanks to Canon John Fitzgerald, P.P., to Sharon Lane and to Julie Brady for making this magnificent Centre available for the praiseworthy event.
A special Barbeque was scheduled to follow when all cyclists would have returned to Ballincollig.

Dave Murphy is chief organiser of this marvellous event with a wonderfully dedicated Team.

We now share lots more images from the truly inspiring and uplifting fundraising event.  Sincere congratulations to all participants and supporters.
