DIVINE MERCY NOVENA will commence after Good Friday ceremonies and will continue for 9 days at 3.00p.m. each day in the Church finishing on Divine Mercy Sunday (23rd April)

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament every Tuesday & Wednesday from 10.30a.m. to 10.30p.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, Millstreet. Requests for Prayer & Special Intentions – A box & slips of papers for these intentions can be found at the back of the Church.  Each Tuesday & Wednesday the box will be placed on the altar for Mass and then placed in the Adoration Chapel so that people attending can pray for them

CULLEN CHURCH:  Collector for next weekend:   (16th):  Willie O’Connell

There will be no Exposition in Cullen for the next two weeks. 

 

DO THIS IN MEMORY: The next night of the special Parish based programme for parents and children preparing for First Holy Communion will take place on Thursday at the Holy Thursday Mass in Cullen at 6.30p.m. and in Millstreet at 8.00p.m.  All parents/guardians are asked to participate in this programme.

 

CHRISM MASS: The Chrism Mass will take place this year in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Killarney at 7.00p.m. on Tuesday 11th April.  This is a solemn occasion during which the oils, used for the celebration of the sacraments throughout the diocese, are blessed.  The ceremony also provides an opportunity for priests to renew their promises.  All are invited to come to the celebration of the Mass and refreshments will be available afterwards in St. Brendan’s College refectory.

 PENITENTIAL SERVICES

In preparation for Easter Penitential Services will be held in our Pastoral area as follows:

Rathmore:  This Sunday between 4.00 & 6.00p.m.

Dromagh:    This Sunday at 8.00p.m.

Millstreet Monday from 7.30 to 8.30p.m. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed in the Church for that hour.  Visiting priests will be available for Confessions.

  • A MEETING to form a Tidy Town Committee in Cullen will be held on next Wednesday 12th April at 8.00p.m. in The Community Centre
  • THANK YOU to everyone who supported the Coffee Morning and street collections in aid of Daffodil day. The total collected was €6,262.00
  • MILLSTREET TURF CO-OPERATIVE: Annual General Meeting on Wednesday next 12th April at 9.00p.m in the Canon O’Donovan Centre.
  • MILLSTREET ATHLETIC CLUB wish to thank all those who contributed to their recent Church gate collection.
  • LITTLE TREASURES PRE-SCHOOL MILLSTREET: Parents – to ensure your child has a place in school for September 2017 please call to school for booking form or if you already have a form please return to school as spaces are limited.  Closing dates for completed forms is Friday 26th
  • AUBANE COMMUNITY CENTRE: Annual Good Friday Table Quiz on 14th April at 8.30p.m.  Tables of 4 – €40.
  • ANNUAL EASTER SUNDAY COMMEMORATION will take place on next Sunday 16th April after 11.30a.m. Mass.  Oration in The Square will be given by Ryle Dwyer, author, journalist & historian.  Special guests will be the Cobh Animation Team (Cumann na mBan ladies).  All are invited to attend.
  • THANK YOU from the Cork North West branch of MS Ireland thank you for your generous contribution to their recent Church gate collection which realised €1,095.00.
