On behalf of Millstreet Community Support Ukraine we would like to thank everyone who made Millstreet Community Family Fun Day so special and such a success. The day provided a lovely opportunity to meet and welcome all our new families and celebrate our community. On the day our wonderful Millstreet Pipe Band opened proceedings and this was followed by special and heartfelt performances from our Ukrainian families. The day continued with lots of fun, games and music for everyone to enjoy. The day would not have been such a success without the help of the following:
Our sincere gratitude to Millstreet Town Park Committee for allowing the event to be held in our beautiful Town Park. They also generously paid for our Magician/Balloon Modeller on the day. The wonderful playground provided great entertainment on the day for all the children too.
Special thanks to Cork County Council for providing the musical entertainment. Long Way Home Bluegrass Country Band gave a brilliant performance and kindly provided facilities for the performances for our Ukrainian friends. Thanks also to Cork County Council for providing the free Ice-Cream for the children.
Thanks to IRD Duhallow for providing bunting, posters, road signage and medals, supplying the gazebos for the day and assisting us in organising Millstreet Community Family Fun Day.
Massive gratitude to Marie and all the girls at Curious Minds for providing free face painting and beauty services.
Thanks to Mr Cool Events for donating the use of his mascot costumes. A big thanks to our mascot volunteers, LOL and Chase were a big hit with all the children and even some of the adults.
A special thanks to Millstreet Athletic Club, Millstreet Juvenile GAA Club and Los Zarcos Fc for providing an array of sporting activities on the day.
Thanks to IRD Food Services, Mr Cool Events Ice Cream Van, Bean and Gone Tea/Coffee and Kitty’s Crepes whose food and beverages created a great party atmosphere and added to the enjoyment of the day.
We also wish to thank everyone who advertised & promoted the day on the lead up and all our wonderful local photographers for capturing photos and videos of the day. Thanks to everyone who prepared the Town Park for our event and helped with the clean up. Thank you to our local Gardai for assisting with traffic and queue control for some of our popular activities.
Special thanks to all our volunteers, our own family and friends and anyone else who helped us in any way preparing for Millstreet Community Family Fun Day.
And last but not least a massive Thank You to all who came and joined with us to make the day such a huge success!
As a mark of respect on the death of my brother Jack, I will not put on my report this week.
Eily
