THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
This weekend we light the third candle on our Advent wreath, which is a candle of joy. However, in today’s world it is hard not to question where is the hope? With rising Covid numbers, families not being able to reunite at Christmas and the feeling of weariness that we have from day-to-day life.
But we must remember that as we approach Christmas, this is a time of hope. Hope teaches us that God is in control, that it is in God’s world we live and that we must hope in God and that joy will follow.
So, on this joyous Sunday I pray that the wonder of the Lord’s love, the glory of his birth and the peace of his presence be with each of you as we prepare for the birth of our Saviour.
