Declan Retires Following 36 Years of Supreme Dedication in the Ambulance Service

While we look forward to recording a comprehensive Radio Interview on “Radio Treasures” on www.corkmusicstation.com with Declan Ryan to acquire an excellent insight into the Ambulance Service over the past Forty Years we extend sincere thanks to Declan for sharing two splendid images and some introductory information.

Declan shares the following:  “I was appointed to the Millstreet Ambulance

Declan Ryan pictured in 1985.

Base on the 18/11/1985 and retired recently after nearly 36 years.   Over that time I would have travelled hundreds of thousands of miles and transported and cared for thousands of patients in eight based Millstreet Ambulances from the surrounding areas of Cork and Kerry and worked with many amazing Colleagues including the late John Kelleher who went to his Eternal Reward last year.   Today’s National Ambulance Service is amongst one of the best trained and equipped in Europe.”   We wish Declan many years of wonderfully healthy, happy and fruitful Retirement.   We shall later indicate when we shall be broadcasting Declan’s Radio Interview which we have yet to record.  Tap on the images below to enlarge.  (S.R.)
