This weekend we celebrate the Day for Life.  This year’s theme is “The Good Samaritan:  A model of compassion.” In the context of the recent proposal to introduce assisted suicide, both in Ireland and the UK, this year’s Day for life message invites Catholics to consider a more positive and compassionate response to the care of people who are in the final stage of life.  You can download this year’s message from


As preparations are being made for the easing of restrictions, I invite Eucharistic Ministers and Readers who had opted out of these ministries during Covid to consider returning after 22nd October.  Please contact our Parish Office so that you can be included in our rotas.

We will continue our booking system for the next few weeks for all weekend Masses and Thursday night Mass in Cullen.

Community Notices

  • CULLEN & DISTRICT SPECIAL NEEDS:  Meeting on Monday night (4thOctober) at 8.00p.m.
  • AUBANE SOCIAL CLUB will host a tractor run on Sunday 10th October in aid of Aubane Community Centre.  Registration at 11.45a.m. and run commences at 12.30p.m. Further details from John Twomey (087) 2844630  
  • ONLINE WORKSHOP FOR PARISH MUSICIANS:  The diocese will host an online workshop for parish musicians on Tuesday 5thOctober at 7.30p.m via Zoom.  All involved in music ministry are welcome.  The purpose of the workshop is to prepare choirs and parish musicians for the weeks ahead, as choirs and singers resume their role in the liturgy.  The workshop will be presented by Tomás Kenny and Ailish Walsh O’Connor.  Please email Tomás Kenny at tomaskenny if you are attending.
