On tonight’s Show at 10pm we feature a brief interview with three ladies recorded in Banteer 1983 in the presence also of Seán Buckley where we hear about their meeting with Ansty and the Tailor of Gougane Barra, an early Kilcorney Feis and the challenges of the Troubles of the 1920s in Ireland.   We also listen to a recent recording of the cuckoo heard in Mount Leader.  And we share some of the amusing quotes of Yogi Berra….kindly provided by James Wickham from Minneapolis.   For our pictorial feature we share images of Cullen in 2000 plus a visit to Millstreet Church by Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan this morning.  Tap on the pictures to enlarge.  (S.R.)

Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan of the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore – briefly visited St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet this Tuesday morning after Mass, 1st June 2021. Bishop Alphonsus has local connections – the late Fr. John Butler and the O’Mahony Family. One of his ancestors was baptised in Millstreet Church.  We thank Pat Breen for alerting us as to whom we had seen in the Church after Mass.
