Dear Parishioners,

What welcome news we received yesterday when the Government announced that we will able to celebrate Masses with congregations in our Churches from Monday 10th May.

There is still some clarification needed regarding numbers able to attend Masses in larger Churches and we are hoping that this will be received during the week and I will keep you updated during our live-streamed daily Masses.

Hereunder I have included the guidelines received from our Diocesan Office and I am asking for your continued patience and understanding until we receive full clarification on certain points.

  • Funerals – 50 mourners permitted in Church.
  • Weddings – 50 guests permitted at service in Church
  • No arrangements to be made for First Communions and Confirmations at the present time.
  • Baptisms will take place with limited numbers.
  • Parish Office will re-open to the Public on 10thMay

Due to the restricted number of 50 allowed at Mass, we are asking our Parishioners to please ring the Parish Office from next Wednesday to reserve places at Masses in all our Churches.

As we move forward, we must continue to be careful and mindful of others and we ask you to continue to sanitise as you enter and leave our Churches.

POPE FRANCIS REQUEST FOR MONTH OF MAY

Pope Francis is requesting that during this month of May the entire Church invoke the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary for the end of the pandemic and, in a special way, he is inviting all of us to pray fervently for those most closely affected by it.

During each day of May, all the Shrines around the world, united in a communion of supplication, will lift up their prayers, which, like the fragrance of incense, will rise up to heaven.

So perhaps, here in our Parish, we can set aside some time each day and pray to Our Lady for protection and hope during these difficult days.

Our Lady health of the sick, pray for us.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

I’m stronger

Because of my hard times,

Wiser because

Of my mistakes

& Happier

Because of my sad experiences
