We thank Presenter, John Greene for advance information on this Sunday evening’s programme – 18th April 2021 at 7pm on C103. (S.R.)
Where The Road Takes Me
Never mind Clint Eastwood and the Bridges of Madison County. This week on ‘Where The Road Takes Me’, John Greene brings you Gerry Forde and the Bridges of Donoughmore. Gerry has written an amazing book about the 71 bridges in the parish, but there’s more to it than meets the eye.
In Ovens we meet retired Engineering Designer, Draughtsman and Chartered Surveyor Michael Kiely, who explains the age-old method of Triangulation and how you can simply measure the distance to the sun, without actually having to go there.
