MURPHY, Timothy, 92 – Of Somerville, formerly of Millstreet, County Cork, Ireland passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on March 22, 2021.
Beloved husband of 67 years to Betty (Davenport) Murphy. Loving son of the late Ellen (Corkery, Dooneen) and Denis Murphy, Claramore. Devoted father of Dennis J. and his companion Rosanne McNamara, Timothy P. and his companion Barbara Moloney all of Somerville, Kevin F. and his wife Kathy of Arlington, Thomas J. and his wife Kathy of Wolfeboro, NH, John J. and his wife Carrie of Arlington, Eileen Murphy and her husband Bruce Morrill, Maureen M. Arsenault and her husband Mark all of Medford and Michael W. Murphy of Somerville. Father-in law of the late Maureen Murphy.
Dear brother of Jerry Murphy and the late Eily, Denis, Tom, Pat, Nora, Mary, Johnny and Bill.
Cherished grandfather of Brendan and his wife Etif, Kelsey, Andrew and his wife Tiffany, Caitlin, Kyle, Kayla, Kara, David, Claire, Timothy and his fiancé Delly, Philip and his wife Kun, Caroline, Alex, Siobhain, Aidan and the late Haley. Great grandfather of Rhoda.
Also survived by many relatives in the United States, Ireland, England and Australia.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Calling Hours at the George L Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Sunday 2-5 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning at 9:00 am in St. Clement Church, 64 Warner St., Medford, MA.
Interment will be private .
