OUR LENTEN JOURNEY 2021

The past 12 months has been a very challenging time for all of us – we have had to deal with the reality of living through a pandemic, suffer the loss of loved ones with a sense of isolation from our families and communities, struggle with everyday life during lock-down and being unable to attend Mass in our Churches.

Next Wednesday, Ash Wednesday, we will commence our Lenten journey and during this time we are invited to start afresh on our faith journey and re-tune into the reality of God’s love.

This year there will be no distribution of ashes, however during Mass I will Bless Ashes and these will be available in the Church and from the Parish Office afterwards. At home you can make the sign of the cross on your forehead and pray Turn away form sin and be faithful to the gospel.     I am asking that each person only take 1 sachet please.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

Some flowers blossom best in the sun,

others do well in the shade.
