Dear Parishioners,

This weekend marks the third week of Advent and in previous years we would now be planning for our usual celebrations – the reuniting of families, meeting with friends and spending time together. However, this year is different but we must still endeavour to keep the season as a special time to encounter Christ.

As it will be impossible to allow people into the Church beyond the maximum number as allowed under Government & NPHET restrictions, all Masses celebrated during the week leading up to Christmas Day will be considered Christmas Masses and I am asking parishioners who are in a position to attend a week-day Mass to consider doing so as this will enable more parishioners to attend Mass and receive Holy Communion for Christmas. Our on-line streaming is now up and going and so perhaps families would unite in their homes and join in our celebration of Mass in that way. As previously advised the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days remains suspended during this pandemic.

(One may access the new online streaming on the following link: www.churchservices.tv/millstreet)  As this important new service is now available our final broadcast of the Celebration of Mass from St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on Cork Music Station takes place at this Sunday’s 11.30 a.m. Mass.   Sincere thanks to the many Loyal Listeners who have tuned into our daily radio religious broadcasts since March 2020.   Now one will be able to access not only sound but excellent visual coverage also on the new online streaming service from St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet. (S.R.)
