 PRAYER OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION

My Jesus,

I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.

I love You above all things, and desire to receive You into my soul.

Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,

come at least spiritually into my heart.

I embrace You as if You were already there

and unite myself wholly to You.

Never permit me to be separated from You.                Amen

REMEMBERING OUR LOVED ONES IN NOVEMBER

This weekend we would have celebrated Mass for all those who died in the Parish during the past 12 months and we would have the blessing of our cemeteries.  Unfortunately, due to current restrictions both of these ceremonies have to be postponed and during the past week private visits have been made to each cemetery in the Parish during which graves were blessed and prayers said.

Mass for the Holy Souls and those on our November lists will be celebrated during our weekday schedule and you will be able to access the Mass through our Church TV and Cork Music Station.  Our November garden has been placed at the back of Millstreet Church and we invite you to visit for private prayer.

I have been asked about what prayers families can say at the graves of their loved ones during this month to replace our annual ceremony so I have put together a simple ceremony which can recited.

Sign of the Cross

Dear Lord, we thank you for the life of our beloved (name) and the

memories we have of them.  Comfort us in our loss and grief and may

our faith be our consolation and eternal life our hope. Lord hear us

Recite a decade of the Rosary:   The First Glorious Mystery:

The Resurrection

Sprinkle Grave with Holy Water and recite:  Eternal rest grant to (name) and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the Faithful Departed, rest in peace.  Amen

May the Lord bless us, protect us from all evil and lead us to everlasting life.  Amen

NOVEMBER – A TIME TO REMEMBER:   The Diocese of Kerry will host a webinar, November – a time for reflection with Fr Jim Cogley, priest, woodturner and psychotherapist on Monday Nov 9th @ 8pm – 8.30pm. He will focus on Remembering our Departed, and explore how unresolved loss can affect every area of our lives and how our bodies can express the unshed tears of our soul. To register, check out dioceseofkerry.ie or the diocesan Facebook page. All are welcome.

PARISH OFFICE:  Our Parish Office continues to work behind closed doors as per current guidelines.  Parishioners who wish to book masses, require Mass Cards or have any other query to please ring the office and arrangements for collection or posting will be made.  Parishioners can continue to drop Parish dues, weekly envelopes and donations for the running of our Parish into the post box at the Parish office.  Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
