“Radio Treasures” 9.30 to 11.00 This Tuesday Night on CMS

Tonight…on this Tuesday, 20th Oct. 2020… on “Radio Treasures” broadcast on Cork Music Station  9:30 to 11:00pm we feature our regular items with a splendid blend of uplifting songs and music… tonight we feature a selection of songs and music with lots of variety as well as lots of interesting musings and words of wisdom.

We had such a wonderful response to last week’s “Radio Treasures” Show when we featured the voice of the late Conchubhar Ó hÉalaithe from a 2008 recording of Jimmy Reidy’s “Round the Fireside”.   Tonight we feature from that same recording the voice of Joan O’Mahony superbly relating the story of Fr. Breen in the Millstreet of the Fight for Independence.   We also feature a very moving poem recited by Tim Looney….All this at 10pm on tonight’s programme which also includes Songs by Charley Pride, Nana Mouskouri, Jim Reeves, Joan O’Leary, Neil Diamond, Mario Lanza …. and so many more!   We hear about James Wickham‘s creative suggestion for a  really interesting competition!   And we explore a treasury of quotes on the importance of Laughter in our lives….especially in the times we presently experience.   And we chat about these images:

We thank Patricia Hick for sharing this most interesting phenomenon….which occurs on Tuesday, 20th Oct. 2020 at 20:20:20 (twenty seconds past twenty past eight).   So the full number feature should read 20:20:20 20 10 2020 !! Tap on the images to enlarge. (S.R.)
