After being diagnosed with throat cancer, Michael was advised to put his affairs in order. Fortunately, Michael had completely different plans for his future.
Almost fifty years later he fulfills a lifelong dream to build a wooden boat. He also throws in a few obstacles of his own to make it more challenging – like knowing nothing about boat-building and not visiting any hardware store for materials of any kind.
On ‘Where the road takes me’ this Sunday evening, John Greene travels to Burnfort in North Cork, to hear one man’s amazing story of determination, a belief in the involvement of a higher power, and how everything in life is mapped out for us, on the day we are born.
