Musical Images from Pictorial Archive of Millstreet Museum

The two images we share from the Pictorial Archive of  Millstreet Museum date most likely from 2002.   Tap on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.)

Quite a magical image here when at Millstreet Day Care Centre we photographed a very talented Dancer who appeared to be representing San Francisco in the 2002 Rose of Tralee. With the superb accordian music of Seán Buckley all eyes are on the amazing Dancer who truly seems to be in mid-air!

  1. Good Evening Seán Radley, yes that is quite a photo and I can give you the back story. The young lady is Erin Lucey, who is now my wife. Before we met, she represented San Francisco in the Rose of Tralee in 2002. Her father was from Newmarket and she was invited to the Millstreet Day Care Centre by her aunt, Julia Dunne of Dysert, Dromagh, who attended the Day Centre regularly. Erin remembers that visit fondly.

    1. Jestin…this is truly magical! Erin – we are so thrilled that we discover who the truly magnificent Dancer is. So our special image of 2002 is of global interest – San Francisco USA…Tralee in the Kingdom of Kerry….and Jestin’s native Millstreet. I can recall how hugely impressed the many people present at Millstreet Day Care Centre that day (most likely in August) – were by International Rose Representative Erin. Thanks a million, dear Friends, for providing your greatly appreciated background information. Keep safe and well All.
