Fr. Paddy O’Byrne’s Diamond Jubilee to the Priesthood Today

Sincere congratulations to the wonderfully popular Fr. Paddy O’Byrne who on this very day – Friday, 19th June 2020 – celebrates his Diamond Jubilee to the Priesthood.   Fr. Paddy was ordained to the Priesthood on this day 60 years ago in 1960.   Family and Countless Friends send their heartfelt greetings to Fr. Paddy on such a magnificent milestone in his priestly life.  He has been spreading the Good News at home and abroad in such a dedicated and enthusiastic manner – especially in Nebraska, USA – for six marvellous decades.   We wish Fr. Paddy many more years of great health and fulfilment in his inspiring priestly life here in his beloved home town of Millstreet .  (S.R.)

  1. Congratulations to you Fr. Paddy!!

Whenever I see Fr. Paddy’s name mentioned it brings back a memory from my teenage years. A group of us youngsters, including Paddy were stood chatting outside Paddy’s home in the West-End. Paddy was then studying for the priesthood. The first factory was about to start up in Millstreet and we were wondering which items the factory would produce. I was wearing a cardigan at the time with a double row of buttons down the front, Paddy quickly looked and said…I think it might be a button factory! Ah..the memories!
Again many Congratulations to Fr Paddy for the great work he has done since those carefree days!

  2. Many happy memories of Fr Paddy and especially going to Shannon Airport with my father, to pick Fr Paddy up for his Summer holiday. He was and still is a great friend to our family. Many more happy, healthy years to you Fr Paddy.
