This book was compiled to mark the centenary of Carriganima native, An tAthair Peadar Ó Laoghaire. Centenary celebrations had been scheduled for March 20, but, due to the current restrictions, these had to be postponed.
Ár Scéal Féin is an interesting, lively and insightful compendium of stories, recitations, folklore, wit, memories and photographs of life in Carriganima and the surrounding areas over the past one-hundred years. It was edited by James O’Leary, who also penned some of the beautiful articles. James and the members of Carriganima Community Development Association are most grateful to all those who contributed, in any way, to the book.
