Millstreet Ambulance – “Brave the Shave”

Four paramedics at the National Ambulance Service Base in Millstreet, have in the interest of safety, hygiene, desperation and a little touch of madness to shave their heads for charity in the near future.
They would appreciate any sponsorship and donations with gratitude to help their four nominated charities: The Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind, Marymount Hospice, Cork Penny Dinners, and Crumlin Children’s Hospital. Donations can be made on their Go Fund Me page

“Four of us Paramedics at the National Ambulance Service Base in Millstreet, Co. Cork have decided in the interest of safety, hygiene, desperation and a little touch of madness to shave our heads for charity.  This is something we feel can create a little bit of goodwill, positivity and fun in the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic crisis.  Even though it is tough going on front-line services at the moment we have a lot to be thankful for and there is always someone worse off than ourselves.  We nominated one charity each that is special to us and we will divide the proceeds to each charity equally.  We plan on “Braving the Shave” on the evening of Wednesday the 6th of May live at Millstreet Ambulance Base.  We would appreciate any sponsorship and donations with gratitude to help us in our goal to raise as much funds as possible for these very worthwhile charities.  Thanks a million.

The four charities we have chosen to donate to are,
• The Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind
• Marymount Hospice
• Cork Penny Dinners
• Crumlin Children’s Hospital

Thanking you,
Pat Larkin, Peter Madarasz, Padraig Healy and Domhnall Mac Aodha” [1]

  1. Thank you so much for your support in helping us share this message as we try and raise much needed funds for these 4 worthy/needy local and national charities. The fundraising is going great and the Brave to Shave is due to happen on 6/5/20. Please check out the our GoFundMe page for more details. Thanks again, Pat Larkin
