KAY WHELAN (née Singleton) (Tivoli and formerly of Cullen, Co. Cork), passed peacefully to the next life on 31st of December,2019, after a wonderful life, wife of the late Patrick, loving mother of Billy, Tina, Labhras, Padraig, Elaine and late Diarmuid, caring big sister to Fr. Jerry, Noel and the late Dinny and JJ., doting granny to 12 heartbroken grand kids. Sadly missed by all her loving family, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and a large circle of friends.
Lying in repose at the Temple Hill Funeral Home, Boreenmanna Road of Jerh. O’ Connor Ltd. from 6.00pm on Thursday followed by removal at 7.00pm to the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Cullen, Co. Cork. Requiem Mass at 11.00am on Friday. Cremation will take place privately afterwards.
The family greatly appreciate the amazing care Kay received in Brídhaven and Mallow General Hospital. May she rest in peace. [rip]
We Are so sorry to hear of the passing of Kay, my dad’s first cousin. She showed us great kindness some years ago when we visited and she will always be held fondly in our hearts.
