The death has occurred of Eddie Downey (Caum, Macroom, formerly of Mashanaglass & Drominagh). On December 29th 2019, EDDIE, died peacefully, in the presence of his family & in the exceptional care of the staff of Macroom Community Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Mary & loving father of the late Mary-Josephine (infant), John, Michael, Úna, Teresa, James & Maria, much loved brother of Ted, John, Maura, Kay & of Jimmy, Sheila & Ann (deceased), loving grandfather to Cian, Gavin, Aidan, Conor & Liadh, father-in-law to Margaret, Jon & Juliet. Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, friends & kind neighbours.
Reposing on Wednesday, 1st January, in Macroom Church from 5pm with prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12 noon, funeral afterwards to St. Colman’s Cemetery, Macroom. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Macroom Community Hospital. Codladh sámh. [rip]
