We thank Presenter, John Greene, for this week’s advance information on this Sunday evening’s programme. (S.R.)
This week on Where the road takes me, John Greene heads for Bere Island, just off the Castletownbere coast on the Beara Peninsula.
He meets up with five people on the island, each with their own story to tell, but one thing in common – they are all involved with Bere Island Community Radio.
The island is a partner in the EU Grassroots Wavelength project which aims to set up low power community stations in rural communities in Europe.
Broadcasting three hours per week, Bere Island is joined on the project by Romania, Portugal and Madeira. [read more …] ““Where the Road Takes Me” on Bere Island C103 7pm Sunday”
