The death has occurred of Dr. Michael Feeley, “Westbourne” Clara Road, Millstreet. Peacefully on Sunday 26th May 2019 surrounded by his loving family and in the exceptional care of Marymount Hospice after an illness bravely borne. Michael, best friend and beloved husband of Mary, loving father of Sandra, Caroline, Linda, Colin, Laura and his late son Keith. Sadly missed by son-in-law and partners Gareth, Stefan and Daniel, his precious grandchildren Dylan and Cillian, brothers and sisters Don, Des, Dorie (Killeen), Rena (Harney), Jackie (Griffin), Paddy and the late Brian and Hugh, relatives and a large circle of friends. “Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dhílis”.
Reposing on Monday evening at Tarrant’s Funeral Home,West End, Millstreet (P51XF86) from 5pm to 8pm. Reception into St Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on Tuesday for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. Forever cheerful and wonderfully supportive Dr. Michael truly enriched the lives of so many not only within the Millstreet Community but far beyond. We all have treasured memories of Dr. Michael’s magnificent contribution in so many aspects during Eurovision 1993 in Millstreet. The very first time I met Dr. Michael was when he and the late John “Sing” O’Sullivan were playing a game of Pitch and Putt in Millstreet Town Park and clearly Dr. Michael was hugely impressed not only by John’s gifted playing of pitch and putt but also by his superbly colourful approach to life blending in his highly talented ability to whistle and to drum. God bless the healing hands of Dr. Michael who brought such comfort and health restoration to so many in Tullig Medical Centre with Dr. Patrick Casey and others. I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Dr Michael Feely at mass on Sunday morning he was a gentleman and our paths crossed many a time over the years at the surgery and at his patients homes when I was called to transfer his patients to hospital by Ambulance he had always a calming influence to his patients my condolences to Mary and his children and extended family Declan Ryan Ambulance manager at Millstreet base
