The response to the fundraising Daffodil Day 2019 in aid of the Irish Cancer Society within the Millstreet area was hugely supportive with a most impressive total (as of now) of €4,100.00 lodged into the account of the Irish Cancer Society. We thank Phil Sheehan of the Coordinating Team for the update. This is a very encouraging result from today’s tremendous work by several Volunteers outside Herlihy’s Centra, Millstreet Post Office, Supervalu and Coleman’s Centra – especially when one considers that weather truly affected the overall national response and the ICS is not confident that the annual target of €4 million will be reached this year so nationwide the appeal continues.
