“Where the Road Takes Me” on C103 This Sunday at 7pm

We thank Presenter John Greene for advance information on this Sunday evening’s programme.  (S.R.)

While modern technology has connected us with the outside world, it has also managed us to dis-connect us from the importance and art of conversation amongst ourselves.

On this week’s edition of ‘Where the road takes me’, John Greene meets Independent TD Michael Healy-Rae, an excellent conversationalist in his own right.

His first book is neither political or a memoir, but it does remind us about how we Irish, who are supposed to be top class at the gift of the gab, have abandoned our art.

From his book ‘A time to talk’, Michael relates a story about his cousin who became a whistle-blower, and paid for his good citizenship with his life.

There’s a story about a funeral, where miraculously ‘the dead’ came back to life, and the young girl who underwent a surgical procedure that will shock you.

Michael Healy-Rae talks about talking in this week’s Where the road takes me’.

Join John Greene this Sunday evening at 7 – on C103.
