Seanie Barrett’s 1991 All Ireland Minor Football Title

In 1991 Seánie Barrett was part of the excellent Cork Minor team that won the All-Ireland Football title, beating Mayo on a scoreline of  Cork 1-9 Mayo 1-7 at Croke Park, on 15th Sept 1991. Seán is in the photo above with his hand in the air, and his goal in the final is in the video below.

A few months previously he and Eoin O’Sullivan had been part of the Cork Vocational Schools Football Team that also won the All-Ireland.

The goalie for Cork that day Kevin O’Dwyer, is now based in Cullen and is one of the trainers for the Duarigle Gaels (Millstreet+Cullen) underage teams.
