Ellen Donohue of Carrigacooleen, b.1863

I have just found that my late husand’s grandmother was born in Millstreet in 1863. Her name was Ellen Donohue and her father was Dennis Donohue and her mother was Hannah Riordan. Dennis’s father was John Donohue and her mother was Ellena. I would like to contact anyone connected with this family. Ellen came to Australia in 1888 and I have been looking for her for many years and only just found her.

  1. I am doing family research and my grandmother was Mary O’Donoghue from Millstreet Cork Ireland and her sister was Ellen who came out to Australia with her.
Ellen Married George Adam Menz (Minz) Mentz) 12.06.1889 and her son, Alfred George Menz married my Aunt Emily Redinger .
Mary married Heinrich Redinger in Australia 28.01.1891. I have a lot of information on both Ellen and Mary’s familys in Australia but nothing from Ireland except that their father was Denis O.Donoghue and Mother Hannah O’Riordan. I would like to know more and would be happy to share what I have
