Great Turn Out for Millstreet Vintage and Classic Car Run and BBQ last Saturday Evening

Millstreet Vintage Club held a most highly successful Car Run and Barbeque on Saturday Evening last,on what was a spectacularly Sunny Summers Evening the 40km Car Run started out from Millstreet at 7.00 pm and travelled firstly down through the lovely Grounds of Drishane Castle and from there moved on to some scenic countryside as it made its way up to Knocknakilla, and then over to Saint John’s Well where there was a short stop,from here it headed on to The Kerryman’s Table and on over to Kilcorney and from there made its way to the Eagle’s Nest where another brief stop was had in stunning countryside with the Run finally winding its way on to the Event finish at Moll Carthy’s Bridge Bar where a lovely Barbeque and some refreshments was enjoyed by all.The perfect weather made for a most pleasent journey which was well received by everyone who took part.

Duggan for the use of the Shop yard to park and display all the beautiful cars and also for the use of the fantastic Drishane Grounds which looked magnificent in the Summer Sunshine,the Bush Bar for the use of their premises for event sign-on and registration,Tony O`Brien Butchers for the lovely barbeque which was provided,Herlihy’s Centra and O`Keeffe’s Super Valu Millstreet for supplying some refreshments,Matthew and Noreen Sheehan of Moll Carthy’s Bridge Bar for providing and managing a great Venue for the barbeque and to Tom of TMC Photography,Sean Radley,and John Tarrant for covering the Event for the Media and capturing some great Photos. Also many thanks to the hardworking marshals who helped along the route to keep the event running smoothly and safely with special thanks to Seanie Kelleher who acted as Route Sweeper and finally to all the people who brought out their lovely motors and took part,we say a Big Thank You to Each and Everyone of You,and hopefully we see ye all again very soon.
