This is Holy Week and as it brings the six weeks of Lent to a close, we are all asked to join in the prayers and ceremonies in the run up to Easter Sunday. Every parish in the Country and indeed throughout the world will put on services to lead us on to Good Friday, and the Crucifixion of Christ. Rarely have there been a greater need for people to join together and pray that the Good Lord will help the world to overcome some of the problems  that confront us  today.

The Stations of the Cross are always popular during Lent and can be said anytime. Our Church ceremonies begin on Holy Thursday, In Cullen at 6.30 and in Millstreet at 8pm.

On Good Friday, in Cullen at 6.30 and in Millstreet at 3pm, Holy Saturday, Polish Mass –Blessing of food in Millstreet at 2pm and Easter Vigil  Mass in Millstreet at 9pm.

Confessions in Millstreet on Holy Thursday after Mass, and in Cullen as announced. 

On Good Friday in Millstreet, after the Liturgy of the Word.

And on Holy Saturday from 12.30 to 1.

Stations of the Cross  on Good Friday in Ballydaly at 8 and in Millstreet also at 8.

On Holy Thursday night there will be are commissioning ceremony for the Ministers of the Eucharist in Millstreet and Cullen. All Ministers are asked to make a special effort to attend.

The Divine Mercy Novena will Novena will commence after the Good Friday ceremonies and continue for 9 days until Sun. Apr. 8th.

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be held in Millstreet on Tuesday from 10.30 am to 10.30pm and on Wednesday from 10.30 am to 8.30.

Penitential Services will be held in Millstreet on tomorrow Wednesday from 7.30 to 8,30 pm. The Blessed sacrament will be exposed and visiting priests will be available for confessions.

The annual Table Quiz will be held in Aubane on Good Friday night starting at 8.30.

And the Annual commemoration ceremony will be held at the monument in the Town Square on Easter Sunday following the 11.30 Mass. Our Pipe Band will lead the parade through the town and the oration will be given by the well known Jerry White. All are welcome.

Here are the results of this weeks Lotto draw which  was held at the Clara Inn on Sunday night. Numbers drawn were,1,12,15,17 and the Jackpot was not won. €100 went to Jerry O Riordan, Ballinatona, the seller was mé féin and I got €50 sellers prize, €50 went to Donal and Zeal Dennehy, Liscahane, €20 each to Magpies c/o Corkerys Bar, Pat McCarthy, Lackabawn, Owen & Sean O Riordan, Coolromore, Regina and Ellie May c/o Marie Twomey, Amanda Kelleher, Macroom, Maura Cronin, Main St, Mary G O’Mahony Inchileigh House, Patrick Murphy, Pound Hill.

Jackpot for next week €3,600 the draw at the Wallis Arms Hotel on Bank Holiday Monday night.

All roads lead to the mighty Green Glens ,for the next two weeks. The Millstreet International Welcome Tour Equestrian events kick off on this Saturday March 31st for five days and start again on April 8 for the second leg. We wish them every success and fair weather. Admission is free all the way.

The Cullen Special Needs association wish to thank all those who supported their annual Weigh In fundraiser.

Any notes for the Parish Newsletter must be in by Thursday this week as the Parish Office is closed on Good Friday.
