My apologies for not being with you last week, I was swept away by the ghosts and ghouls of Halloween.

The changing of the time has made our dark evenings seem very very long and the wet weather doesn’t help, so it is more important now than ever that we find some pleasant ways of passing the long evenings. It’s good to know that there’s lots to choose from. The pubs and the clubs are pulling out all the stops to out do one another.

For the not so young there is art on Monday nights at the adult Learning centre, Knitting at the same venue on Tuesday nights each from 7-9. Dancing  with the Active Retired Group at the Canon O Donovan Centre on Monday nights also in Aubane. 45 Drive at the COD on Tuesday nights ,and there’s room for more. Starts at 9. The Adult Gym at the Youth Centre  is the place to go to keep fit and the Astro Turf pitch is drawing the crowds in every kind of weather. Bingo in the GAA Hall every Thursday night.

This is only a snippet of what’s on, so please be on the lookout for something that suits you.
