Superb Cine Film Footage of Millstreet in 1960s Shared by Colm

We sincerely thank Colm O’Connor who lives in Rotterdam and who originally hails from Millstreet for so very kindly sharing quite fascinating film footage of the Millstreet of the 1960s.  Colm’s father, the late Eddie O’Connor, captured a variety of very interesting scenes with his cine-camera and here we view the footage which includes a Corpus Christi Procession and playing ball on a traffic-free Drishane Road.  Among the others appearing on this hugely popular footage:  John Coleman, John Lucey and Anthony Forde. Click on the following link to view the scenes: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3EnYQ9jGn2Eek1zUm8xN09VUzQ/view?usp=sharing&ts=59eb54fb

We also share some still images from the footage and we meet with Colm when he visited in August 2016.  Click on the pictures to enlarge.  (S.R.) If ye recognise people in the pictures, do let us know please.
