Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to my report.
It’s the month of October and our Community Council have hit on a wonderful way for us all to while away the winter months ahead, and they are asking for your ideas as to what would be the best thing to suit the needs of all our people, by way of fun and enjoyment. So to get the ball rolling, they are holding a public meeting at the Wallis Arms Hotel on Tuesday night next Oct 10th, at 8pm in order to give everybody a say in the best way forward. Until then please put on your best thinking cap, talk to other people both young and not so young, about it so that when the night comes, an enjoyable and novel program can be put in place to liven up the parish for the winter.
The October issue of Duhallow Today is in the shops and its full of snippets of information, news, a host of features by various writers, some old photographs to browse over, as well as information on every service and business in the catchment area. And best of all its free. Take a copy to someone who is not aware of its existence.
