Millstreet Pitch & Putt Club Updates

The winner of the last major trophy for this season – The Dan Breen Memorial Trophy – was won by Darren O’Sullivan with Shane Browne in runner – up position while Brian O’Sullivan won the juvenile section.
Over the next couple of weeks, weather conditions permitting, we will be holding a competition every Saturday at 2.30pm. It will be based on a points system with the person on the highest number of points qualifying for Christmas prizes of Turkey and Ham vouchers, Chocolates, Biscuits, Pampering hampers and lots more Christmas fare. At least 5 cards will have to be submitted over the weeks leading up to Christmas with the 3 best to count. Entry fee will still remain at €3 for Adults and €2 for Juveniles.

Well done to Millstreet Athletic Club athletes in Macroom yesterday.

Congratulations to Caoimhe O’Leary finishing in 2nd position and winning an individual medal in the girls U17 race

also running Girls U17 were Orla Buckley and Sara Bourke putting in strong performances.

Eimear O’Leary ran girls U15 and finished in 16 position.

Boys U13 team were Ethan Walsh, Darragh Moynihan, Donnacha Murphy and Donal Bourke all finishing well.

Cheque Presentations to Hospitals Take Place at “The Pub” in Carriganima

Two very impressive cheques of €1050.00 were presented to Millstreet and Macroom Community Hospitals at "The Pub" in Carriganima on Saturday, 8th Oct. 2016 - the wonderfully fruitful result of the fourth annual Walk/Run/Jog held recently which was officially started by Cork Rose, Denise Collins and Liam Roche. It is Jimmy Murphy (pictured below) and his superb Committee must take great credit for organising such a splendid praiseworthy event which is becoming an annual Autumn tradition in Carriganima.
