Yes, indeed, the 7th Edition of the increasingly popular “Duhallow Today” is now in the shops – free of charge – throughout Duhallow and beyond. Many have commented on the splendid quality of this new monthly publication. And this month there are two new Correspondents, a splendid article on the superb photography of John F. Kelleher as well as all the usual wonderful articles. Great to note the two local Bands – excellent photographs of the Band Members. Do visit the “Duhallow Today” Facebook page and like the page. Our website visitors overseas may read the excellent magazine online (HERE). Another marvellous Edition from Editors Niall and Justin. Here we share three images from the current issue. “A huge thank you to everyone who supported our recent clothing collection & coffee morning. It was a wonderfully enjoyable morning and a great success raising a total of €1500. Many thanks again to all for your support.
We would also like to thank KBC bank for supporting Derrinagree N.S. with their Bright Ideas fund. KBC awarded Derrinagree N.S. €300 funding for maths and science resources to assist the school through the ‘Green-Schools’ programme. The programme will teach primary school pupils about the importance of conserving and protecting our natural resources. The ‘Green Schools’ programme is an international environmental management system and award scheme that promotes and acknowledges long-term, whole school action for the environment. Through interactive engagement with environmental issues and improving their local community, the pupils learn the difference small changes can make and feel empowered to believe they can make a difference.” We thank Irene O’Mahony for the text above and for the pictures below.
