Fr. Michael O'Shea, SMA - who has Carrigacooleen roots arrived at Millstreet Museum having cycled from Cork beginning at 5.30 a.m. - then followed The Butter Road and was expecting to arrive in Castleisland by nightfall. He dined at The Wallis Arms Hotel to recharge his energy. The main window over the entrance to our Church was donated by the O'Shea Family of Carrigacooleen and Cork.
Fr. Michael O’Shea, SMA – who has Carrigacooleen roots arrived at Millstreet Museum on this hottest of days having cycled from Cork beginning at 5.30 a.m. – then followed The Butter Road and was expecting to arrive in Castleisland by nightfall. He dined at The Wallis Arms Hotel and before he left we recorded a brief interview for “Radio Treasures” where we chatted about his missionary life in Africa since 1973, his Carrigacooleen roots and his interest in the Butter Road. The main window over the entrance to our Church was donated by the O’Shea Family of Carrigacooleen and Cork.
