IRD Duhallow is seeking to train communities in historic graveyard recording and publication. We are calling on all communities from the following areas to get involved because only with the help of volunteers will we be able to tell, record and publish local stories of people and place. If you can take a photograph you can learn the survey system. All training will take place from 9.30a.m. to 4p.m. Please look at the dates below and if you think you will be able to come along please give Mary Creedon a ring on 029 60633.
The “People’s Debate” with Vincent Browne tonight 28th January 2015 includes many contributions and references to IRD Duhallow and LEADER. The television programme is on TV3 at 10pm. Our thanks to IRD Duhallow for alerting us to the programme which was recorded in Charleville last Friday night. (S.R.)
Do you have arthritis or fibromyalgia? Then the Living Well with Arthritis course is for you. In just 6 weekly 2 ½ hour sessions you will learn how to: manage your pain, reduce your fatigue, improve your sense of well-being and meet and share experiences with people with arthritis who are coping with many of the same issues as you.
Each course usually has 18 people and is led by trained leaders. Most of the leaders have arthritis themselves or are health care professionals. They are all interested in helping people with arthritis, and have successfully completed a Leader Training Workshop.
