A Superb Occasion of Valuable Networking at LAMA Event

Miriam O'Callaghan, Presenter Supreme, expressed great admiration for Millstreet and shared on video her very best wishes to All in Millstreet. Our attendance at the prestigious event was a truly valuable networking experience. For example, pictured below is Michael (Cashman) with Paddy Byrne (who has already sent a very kind comment to our website). Paddy is in fact the national President of Muintir na Tíre and his group "Le Chéile"Park in Askamore, Co. Wexford won the award for Best Public Park. We were sharing the table at the event with Paddy's wonderfully welcoming team. We shall be featuring lots more images later. Click on the images to enlarge. (S.R.)

  1. Just a quick note to say thank you from Millstreet Community Council for all your hard work and dedication, you have done Millstreet quite proud.

  2. Hannelie, Michael & Sean
There is great credit due to you, the amount of quality work and effort you put in on a voluntary basis is tremendous.
Your approachability and helpfulness is much appreciated.
Continued success to you for the future from all at the Wallis Arms,

  3. Thank you, Billy and All at Wallis Arms Hotel for your much appreciated kind comment. It was a very valuable networking weekend for the Millstreet Website team and who knows, Miriam O’Callaghan may one day participate in the Guided Tour of Millstreet!

  4. To be short listed for a LAMA award Millstreet the first ever Duhallow website
Something for future North Cork historians about for to write
And though the favourites Clontarf took the best connected community prize
That Millstreet should reach the big final was quite a surprise

Sean Radley, Michael Cashman and Hannelie O Connor at the LAMA awards Millstreet did represent
And the hopes of all in Duhallow to Dublin with them went
Sean and Hannelie to Dublin by train and Michael by car
But sadly for them it was so near yet so far

And though losing is a thing anyone does not choose
For one for to win others have to lose
To the summit of ultimate success in 2015 Millstreet Website was near
And hopefully they will go one better next year

For any website to reach a LAMA final is a huge achievement indeed
And one can say of the administrators of Millstreet.ie that they did succeed
Of raising the profile of their Website Worldwide
On their achievement of reaching the LAMA finals they can take great pride.

    1. Francis, you are such an important Member of our Millstreet Website Team yourself with your magnificent poems adding such a wonderfully unique and fascinating dimension to our now nationally known website. Many at the LAMA Award Event very favourably commented on your surperb contribution to the impressive website. Thank you so much for writing so very poetically about the very special LAMA event.
