The annual Christmas Day Climb of Mushera Mountain took place this morning at 10:30am, with another large crowd heading to the top, this year in aid the Courtmacherry life Boats. It was the best weather for many years with not a cloud in the sky, not a puff of wind, and a light covering of snow underfoot, made for a happy atmosphere. All the climbers have sponsorship cards, and the proceeds are going to the Courtmacherry life Boats who themselves will go out in any kind of weather to save lives at sea.
Hi all, while I’d like to commend those who took part in the walk and for all the money raised for the lifeboats, it is a pity that a similar respect was not shown towards the hill. I was up there on the 27th and picked up no less than 17 sponsorship cards, please take your litter home with you
