It was Matt Cooper who officially launched the Millstreet Gathering Programme at the Wallis Arms Hotel on Friday, 15th March 2013. Also appearing at the prestigious occasion was the equally popular Alan Shortt with his excellent "Michael Noonan" view on Irish life! Lots more pictures later. 1. I will be in Millstreet in July. My Great Grandfather John O’Leary was born in Millstreet. I hope I ran connect with some of my Irish relatives.

    1. Patrick – Please let us know when you expect to be in Millstreet in July. My late mother was Mary Ellen O’Leary of Adrivale. Not sure if we are the same O’Learys but we could explore the possibility. Delighted that you are coming to Ireland on the Year of the Gathering.

      1. My people are from Adrivale !! I have letters with the return address of Adrivale. My Great Great Grandparents were Patrick O’Leary and Johanna Sullivan. They had a bunch of kids … Catherine, Hanora, Johanna, John, Margaret, Julia, Patrick, Gobinet and Mary. I could be wrong about a couple of them but I am pretty sure I have it right.
John O’Leary was my great grandfather. He came to America in 1888. Johanna became a nun – Sister Mary Francis was her nun name.
I have a few letters from the early 1900’s from Patrick.

I will be in Ireland July 18 or 19. My daughter wants to attend a Van Morris concert in England before we head to Ireland.

I hope we have a connection because I would enjoy connecting with my Irish relatives.
