An interesting presentation on youTube today with plans for future open-air concerts on the grounds of Drishane Castle. The next Slane? 🙂 Here is what is says:
“Drishane Castle, is ideally located to host any national or international music event. Located in West Cork on the Cork and Kerry boarder it has spectacular views. Just 2.8 KM from the castle is Millstreet train station. This allows for the movement of large crowds in and out of the event. Cork International airport and Kerry Airport are just an hours drive. A good road network also ensures ease of access. A good choice for future events…”
Slane Castle doesn’t have a train station 2.8 KM away. For a huge crowd of people this would be a great asset and reason for this venue.
