E-Millstreet Launched

Investing in New and Existing Entrepreneurs!
Millstreet Development Group comes together with Cork County Council and IRD to provide the first E Centre in the Duhallow Region.

Millstreet Development Group today launched a new E Centre initiative which will be opening later in the autumn as a facility to support local start-up and growing businesses in Millstreet and the surrounding region.

Áine Collins TD was instrumental in bringing the idea of an E-Centre to Millstreet Development Group who were anxious to find a way to support and grow businesses in the area.

The idea of the E-Centre is driven by the Cork County Council Economic Development Group chaired by Councilor Gerard Murphy. Ger Power, Head of Finance for CCC said that he was delighted to launch E-Millstreet and paid tribute to the team at E-Macroom who were actively engaged on the project. This project is funded by Cork Council and IRD Duhallow.

Jim O’Keeffe Managing Director of SuperValu in Millstreet was also a strong supporter of the project from the outset, donating the premises for the E Centre rent-free to the community for its first two years to help get it underway. Jim also sponsored a great deal of initial investment on making the premises suitable for the project.

Millstreet E Centre will open in early October and any interested parties should contact Jennifer in the Millstreet Development Group for further information. Tel: 087-2953078

About E Centre Millstreet

The new centre, E Millstreet is located on the Square and will host 9 hot desks where businesses can base themselves with shared facilities at a low cost with other entrepreneurs.

The Centre has access 24/7, is furnished to a high standard, has broadband, direct-dial telephones, a break-out area and comfortable meeting facilities. It has everything a business would require without any of the hassle of setting up an office or taking out a long term lease. Hot Desks are generally rented out on a month-to-month basis and there is also a flexi-desk option available for those who would like to use the centre for just a day or a half day. The big advantage of the centre is that businesses will meet peers in a similar situation, establish and develop supportive contacts with them and the state enterprise bodies.

Ideal clients for the centre include those who are starting or growing a business, and would like to work on low cost dynamic environment.

The Centre will also be open to those who wish to book meeting rooms

Full Training Room Facilities are also available.
