Inspiring Mizen Head to Malin Head Charity Tractor Run 2012

A royal welcome awaited the wonderfully courageous Tractor Team at Pomeroy’s “Clara Inn”, Millstreet on Saturday afternoon 21st July as they took a well deserved break for a delicious meal during their 24 hour Charity Tractor Run from Mizen Head to Malin Head – a distance of 630km – all in aid of Children’s Medical and Research Foundation,  Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, Dublin.  (S.R.)

The various tractors and jeeps as well as the motor bike were all given special names and they had their own fuel supply and a very dedicated Safety Officer.   Members of the group are related to the Pomeroy Family and Philip Pomeroy himself was a member of the inspiring Team who undertake this amazing project annually in aid of such a wonderfully deserving cause.   Brendan Murphy of LTV2 covered the important event and we thank the Pomeroy family for inviting us to join in at the excellent meal.   Following the wonderfully refreshing meal the inspiring Team were on their way with their next stop in Oranmore, Co. Galway.   Sincere congratulations to All involved with this splendid annual project.  (S.R.)
