Seán Murphy’s Pictures of the Clara Mountain Cross Replacement Project
Eily Buckley observes the new Cross which will put in place on Clara Mountain within the next few days. Many thanks to Seán Murphy for these splendid selection of pictures illustrating the older 1984 Cross now laying on the ground while this new Cross awaits its being bolted into position within a short time. Seán arranged to travel to the summit to record this truly historic happening at Clara Mountain. Eily also was present for the recording. The Cross will be bolted on to the steel which is already embedded into the ground. Before that will happen concrete will be poured around the steel. When this is ready the new Cross will then be put into position. Our sincere compliments to everyone associated with the Cross replacement.
