  1. I am very happy to say that I need never “look up” my ancestors. My mother and father, from Knocknagree and Tralee, told me everything when I was growing up in the Bronx. Together with their siblings and friends from “home,” they would get together often at our house (three-room apartment). All I had to do was listen in to their conversations, and I got to know all about how they grew up, what they had (and didn’t have), who they knew, etc. My time spent with my parents provided a rich and loving relationship. Their legacy: faith in God, a sense of humor, and common sense. May they rest in peace.
