Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to news report 1078 from Millstreet.
Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this nice calm, sunny, Tuesday morning.

Accolades came flowing into Millstreet over weekend in many forms. Our
brilliant  Camogie team won the under 14 Blitz against stiff opposition  by
just one point. While our musicians and dancers brought all Ireland awards
from the Fleadh in Cavin. Chloe Buicke was part of the Boherbue team who
won the dancing and the renowned Linehan’s, Donal coming first on melodeon
and second on the Box, and Conor 2nd in the senior accompaniment guitar.
Many congratulations all round.

Our pipe band had a very busy weekend playing for the Rose of Tralee
Festival on Saturday night and at Beal na Bleath on Sunday for the Michael
Collins Memorial ceremony. They have attended both of those venues for over
50 years.

A great time was had by all at the pub in Carriganima recently with open air
dancing, barbeque and music. And our Macra Club are putting on a similar
program on this Saturday night, entitled Adios to Summer, at Corkery’s Bar.

welcome.

supported his recent Music Fest and Vintage day at his Star Trax Studios
