The death has occurred on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 of Dorothy FITZGERALD, (née Twohig) of Macroom Road, Millstreet, Cork. Late of South Square, Macroom. Removal this Wednesday evening at 8pm from Tarrant’s Funeral Home, Millstreet to St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet. Requiem Mass tomorrow, Thursday, at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the Keel Cemetery, Clara Road, Millstreet. Family flowers only. Donations to the Motor Neurone Association.
Dorothy is bured with her husband Christy (1934-1993) at the old famine Keel graveyard. The graveyard is closed, but Chirsty was the caretaker there for many years, so they were buried there. They may be the last.
Dorothy was a lovely woman, will be sadly missed. Thinking of all the family at this sad time. So sorry her grandsons and I can’t be there. But we are thinking of her every day.
