The death has occurred on Friday, June 10, 2011 of Denis (Denny) Radley, Church Street, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford and formerly of The Square, Millstreet, Co. Cork. Husband of the late Margaret and son of the late Tom and Abina Radley, Millstreet. Deeply regretted by his daughters, Angela & Denise, brothers John and Tommy, sister Marie, son-in-law, grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, his cousins and extended families, his many great friends and neighbours. Reposing at Drohan’s Funeral Home, Emmet Street, Dungarvan. Rosary this Saturday evening at 8.00 p.m.. Removal on Sunday at 6.30pm to St. Mary’s Parish Church, Dungarvan. Requiem Mass on Monday at 11.00 a.m.. Funeral afterwards to Adjoining Cemetery, Dungarvan.

Thank you very much, Donal. I’ve just returned from Cousin Denny Radley’s funeral in Dungarvan. Denny was accorded such a hugely impressive funeral ceremony with Fr. Billy Radley as Chief Celebrant at the Mass in St. Mary’s Parish Church, Dungarvan on Monday. The solo singer, Mela from Carrick-on-Suir sang like an angel and Rose on church organ played in such a heavenly manner. As Denny was being gently taken to his place of rest in the same Cemetery which overlooks beautiful Dungarvan Harbour, where his beloved wife, Margaret, who died in April 2006, is also buried, Rose played in a church-like manner “Make me an Island” – one of Denny’s favourite Joe Dolan songs. We would like very especially to acknowledge and express sincere and heartfelt thanks to the many people who travelled from the Millstreet area as well as from various parts of Ireland to pay tribute to Denny. The Family very much appreciates such generosity of spirit, time and true friendship. May Denny, wonderful Friend of so many and a very special Cousin whose amazing optimistic approach to life and whose great courage through his illness so bravely borne, was such a very real inspiration to us all, rest in peace.
