Stephen O Riordan from Drishane Road has been involved in making the charity single ‘From a Distance’ Official Music Video for the Magdalene Survivors Together Campaign.
Stephen has been involved with the Magdelene Survivors since making the documentary ‘The Forgotten Maggies‘ in 2009. He appears in the music video (above) on a number of occasions, and most prominently from 0:44 to 0:49.
The recording features lots of well known artist: Sinead O’ Connor, Tommy Fleming, Daniel O’ Donnell, Brian Kennedy, Moya Brennan, Ann Scott, Charlie Landsborough, Patrick Sheehy, Lumiere & the Glasgow Gospel Choir.
Stephen as spokesman for the Magdalene group was interviewed in an article on the Irish World yesterday.
